Thanks for taking a moment to review some of the great things going on in Stilwell!

Join the SPIRIT OF STILWELL.  Please review the following and see if you have an interest in one of our 10 committees in 2016. If any of the following are of interest, please contact me (Ken Klingensmith, President (volunteer) for the Stilwell Community Organization (ken@stilwellcommunity.org).  Please know that our structure is that committee meetings occur as needed to accomplish objectives of the committee so agreeing to help doesn't mean you will have yet another re-occurring meeting to attend.  We have a busy year ahead of us and I welcome any support you can offer in helping us achieve our goals for the upcoming year.

Stilwell Community Park Development Committee

I WILL HELP!

Thank you Pastor Dave Richardson for leading this initiative and getting the park open in 2015!  He has done some ground breaking and amazing work on getting us to a point of just that, ground breaking!   The excitement is building and 2016 as we embark on a capital campaign, grant writing and seeking help in moving the part to the next phase.  The next phase is being led by Denise Menefee and Julie Beck.
Stilwell Commerce Connection

I WILL HELP!

The Stilwell community (66085/66013) has 247 businesses. I am happy to have Stacie Moeller taking the lead on the business directory, business to business relationship development and helping ensure everyone knows the services and business locally available.  What a task to organize that many businesses in our community but we will get it done and if you can help, that's great!
Communications Committee

I WILL HELP!

Staying in connection with everyone in the community (3,892 unique addresses) needs done effectively and in an efficient manner.  We've embarked on an email communication plan but that needs leadership and help pushing the agenda forward.  Face Book has been great in keeping in touch with many but not all.
The Spirit of Stilwell Committee

I WILL HELP!

The green and white license plates we see on many cars in Stilwell. Make sure you have yours whether a Mustangs, a Wolverines or high school Timberwolves! They are on sale for $5 at Stilwell Station or easier, just email us ken@stilwellcommunity.org. Stilwell is a great place to live and we want to foster the community spirit we have through development of updated image and implementation of ideas for name recognition. Volunteers are needed for this committee.
Easter Egg Hunt Committee

I WILL HELP!

The First Baptist Church of Stilwell will host and again turn their grounds into an egg hunting experience! Join the sweets and games committee to celebrate Easter Saturday.
Community Garage Sale Committee

I WILL HELP!

Its time to host the 9th annual community garage sale. We are fortunate to have Bethany Lutheran Church take the lead on making this event happen in our community. They need your help on advertising, organizing maps and ensuring a successful sale! Some new ideas have surfaced for this years event so be part of the decision making on this community wide event!
Parade Committee

I WILL HELP!

The heart and spirit of Stilwell shines the 4th of every year! The first meeting for the 2017 parade committee will commence in the spring of 2017.
Fireworks Committee

I WILL HELP!

It doesn’t get much better than the fireworks display in Stilwell and it shows every year with the crowds at KCPL, along 199th and Metcalf! Our community funds the fireworks display and needs fundraiser volunteers and committee to plan parking, permits, vendors, games, and music for a safe family community gathering!
Trunk or Treat Committee

I WILL HELP!

Mike Ward we can't thank enough for pulling together a committee of volunteers that turn the elementary school parking lot into a haunted gathering of goodies. He can't do it alone and needs your help in coordinating the church community, school and getting plenty of participants for this growing in popularity event showcasing the latest in coolest costumes! It won’t be long before Halloween comes around in 2016!
Breakfast with Santa Committee

I WILL HELP!

Santa's elves need a local helper to prepare for his visit to Stilwell in December!   Special thanks to St. Francis Church for hosting this event for the community! The big book on how, where, who and all the questions from Christmas's past exists and would make this an easy event for a new volunteer!
